Who this is for

We're looking for 5 tabletop RPG Game Masters who enjoy experimenting with new session preparation tools. Beginners and experienced GMs are welcome. No specific RPG system or technical knowledge is required. We value honest, constructive feedback.

About this playtest

CinderPrep Alpha v0.2 — Private Playtest

We're inviting 5 tabletop RPG Game Masters to test CinderPrep, a lightweight offline adventure preparation tool.

About the tool

CinderPrep generates editable RPG session ideas using 18 built-in scenarios across 3 genres. It supports characters, locations, story conflicts, custom seeds, and multiple export formats.

The application runs locally in a web browser. No installation, subscription, or AI API key is required.

CinderPrep was developed using generative AI for both its code and narrative content.

How the playtest works

  1. Apply to join this playtest.
  2. Approved testers receive instructions and a private download link.
  3. Download and extract the ZIP file.
  4. Open CinderPrep.html in your browser.
  5. Generate and customize an adventure.
  6. Share your honest feedback.

Expected time: 10–15 minutes.

Cost: Completely free. No purchases or payments required.

What we want to learn

  • Is the interface intuitive?
  • Are the generated adventures useful and coherent?
  • Does the tool help reduce preparation time?
  • What features should we improve?
  • Would you consider using a more polished version regularly?

We're looking for honest feedback, including criticism and bug reports.

Our goal is to improve CinderPrep based on real-world use.
